Spring Hockey

I just got done with spring hockey! It was so fun. I drove an hour and a half to 2 hours every Thursday just to go to practice! Why you may ask. Well, the team was looking for a goalie and they thought that I was good because we had played them before. Luckily, the coach knew my coach so he called him up and that is how I got to playing on the team!!!

I totally just realized that I spelled follow wrong. I am so dumb. How could I not realize that! It is time for the hockey tip of the day!
Okay. When you are about to take a shot on goal, look at the goalies position. Look at were they are looking, then go against there position. For example, if they are looking down then come in close so they think that you are going to shoot low so fake a low shot then shoot high or go around.

It is so sad that the U.S. lost in over time. I used to like Sidney Crosby, but now if you like him you are crazy (unless you live in Canada). But Ryan Miller played AWESOME! We were on our way home from a hockey tournament and listening to the game. We were so excited when we scored that goal. There was only 24 seconds left. It was AMAZING!

Hey. It's me and my hockey season just ended last weak. We made it to the state tournament and we ended up playing a team that had beaten us 4 other times before and they weren't close games. The score for those games were 3-0, 8-0 (I, the goalie, got hurt half way through the game so we had to put in another kid who had only played like once or twice. But he did save a penalty shot!), 3-1, and 4-0. Everybody thought that they would crush us in the championship game 5 or 6 to nothing. We definitely proved them wrong! At the end of the first quarter, the score was 0-0. They were afraid of us. They were not playing as well as usual. Our defense, including me, was playing amazing. Almost everybody from the other teams in the tournament was cheering for our team. At the end of the second the score was 0-0. No one expected the game to be this close. there is 4 seconds left in regulation time and our team is on a breakaway. 3 seconds left. 2 seconds left, he is about to shoot and he gets tripped from behind. But the refs don't call it! The other teams coach nearly had a stroke, he even thought it should have been a penalty shot. 1 second left and then the clock says 0:00. We are going into over time. First one to score wins. It is halfway through the 1st over time period. It is a 5 on 3 and we have three. They shoot, I save it. Rebound they pass it to the guy in the corner, he gets ready to shoot, I go down, he passes the puck to the guy across the net shoot SCORE! We lose the game and the season ends. But that's not all the last hockey for me. I got invited to a spring AAA team out of Appleton!

Hockey season

It is hockey season now and I made the A TEAM. That is the best team that you can make. I am a second year squirt this year and on the B team last year so I am glad that I made the A team. I still play for the boys, but I am thinking about moving to the girls team next year.

GO A TEAM!
